DP-600 Fabric Analytics Engineer guide exam help

Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate is an intermediate Microsoft Fabric certification for data engineer and data analyst roles. Microsoft Learn states that candidates should have subject matter expertise in designing, creating, and managing analytical assets such as semantic models, warehouses, and lakehouses. The role prepares and enriches data for analysis, secures and maintains analytics assets, implements and manages semantic models, works with stakeholders and technical partners, and queries or analyzes data using SQL, KQL, and DAX.

Microsoft updated the English DP-600 certification page on April 20, 2026. The exam page states that candidates have 100 minutes to complete the assessment, the exam is proctored, interactive components may appear, and scheduling is through Pearson VUE. Microsoft strongly recommends registering with a personal Microsoft account rather than an organizational work or school account because exam records can be lost if the organizational account is no longer available. The certification renews every 12 months by passing a free online renewal assessment on Microsoft Learn. The DP-600 study guide states that a score of 700 or greater is required to pass Microsoft certification exams.

The current DP-600 skills measured as of April 20, 2026 are Maintain a data analytics solution (25-30%), Prepare data (45-50%), and Implement and manage semantic models (25-30%). The maintain domain includes workspace, item, row, column, object, and file-level access, sensitivity labels, endorsement, version control, Power BI Desktop projects, deployment pipelines, downstream impact analysis, XMLA endpoint management, and reusable assets. The prepare domain covers data connections, OneLake catalog and Real-Time hub discovery, ingestion and access choices, OneLake integration, views, functions, stored procedures, enrichment, star schema design, denormalization, aggregation, joins, data quality fixes, SQL, KQL, DAX, and the visual query editor. The semantic model domain covers storage mode choices, relationships, DAX calculations, calculation groups, dynamic format strings, field parameters, large semantic model storage, composite models, query and report performance, DAX optimization, Direct Lake, and incremental refresh.
