Are you looking for a way to get around Proctoru exam without getting caught? While there were once many methods to bypass ProctorU, these methods have since been patched. As a result, we had to find new working way to cheat on a Proctoru exams.
What Is Proctoru?
ProctorU is an online proctoring service that helps to ensure the integrity of online exams. It uses a variety of methods to do this, including:
Monitoring student activity: ProctorU uses a variety of methods to monitor student activity during an exam, such as webcam monitoring, screen recording, and keyboard monitoring. This helps to detect cheating behaviors, such as the student looking away from the screen or using another device.
Restricting access to other applications and websites: ProctorU typically restricts access to other applications and websites during the exam. This is to prevent students from cheating by looking up information on the internet or communicating with other students.
Live proctoring: ProctorU also offers live proctoring services. In this case, a live proctor will monitor the student during the exam and can provide assistance if needed.
Before we get into the specifics, let’s first familiarize ourselves with the system requirements for ProctorU.
The system requirements for ProctorU are as follows:
- Operating system: Windows 10 or macOS 10.13 or higher
- Processor: Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz or AMD equivalent
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Hard drive: 500 MB of free space
- Internet connection: High-speed internet connection (wired or wireless)
- Web browser: Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
- Webcam: Built-in or external webcam
- Microphone: Built-in or external microphone
ProctorU also recommends that you use a computer with a dedicated graphics card and a fast internet connection. This will help to ensure that your exam experience is smooth and successful.
How Proctoru detects cheating?
- Full-Screen Mode: Proctoru Lockdown Browser ensures that the exam takes up the entire screen, preventing students from accessing other applications or web browsers during the test. (We will trick them into thinking that we are using a full screen.)
- Browser Lockdown: It disables keyboard shortcuts like Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Alt+Delete, or right-clicking, making it challenging for students to switch to other windows or applications. (We will use tunnel to to use these lt+Tab, Ctrl+Alt+Delete, keys without being detected.)
- Webpage Restrictions: Lockdown Browser restricts access to external websites, preventing students from searching for answers or accessing course materials while taking the exam. (There still few working VM which we can use to create seperate enviroment for using another website during exam.)
- Webcam and Microphone: Some versions of Lockdown Browser include webcam and microphone monitoring. This allows the software to record audio and video of the test-taker during the exam, which can be reviewed later for any suspicious behavior. (We don’t have to do anything about it.)
- Keystroke Analysis: Proctoru Browser may employ keystroke analysis to detect irregular typing patterns, suggesting potential cheating, such as someone else typing answers for the student. (Since, We will be using seperae tunnel that is why will not have to worry about any keystroke monitoring.)
- Environment Check: Before the exam, Lockdown Browser often requires students to perform an environment check by scanning their surroundings with their webcam. This helps ensure that the test-taker’s environment is free from unauthorized materials or people. (Again you will using either remote help, or you by yourself will be looking for answers on seperate browser. We advise remote help for this method )
- Lockout Features: If students attempt to exit the exam prematurely or violate any of the lockdown features, Lockdown Browser may lock them out of the exam or alert the instructor.
- Randomized Questions: Some online exams delivered through Lockdown Browser feature randomized questions or answer choices, making it difficult for students to share answers.

Step 1: Install Hypervisor
What is Hyper Visor: Hypervisor is a special kind of software which will help us to create and take care of our virtual machine. A hypervisor is also knows as virtual machine monitor (VMM). The primary purpose Hypervisor is to allow multiple operating systems to run on a single physical machine simultaneoulsy.
There are two types of Hypervisors:
Type 1 Hypervisor (Bare Metal Hypervisor): They run directly on the physical hardware of the host system without the need for an underlying operating system.
Type 2 Hypervisor (Hosted Hypervisor): They run on top of an existing operating systems and rely on it for resource management. For our purpose, we will be using type 2 Hypervisor.

Note: In this tutorial we are using Oracle Virtual Box which has similar installation method to Hyper-V
Step 2: Install Virtual Machine to your PC
We will use Windows 10 VirtualBox image which hasn’t been patched yet by Proctoru.
