The Texas Board of Law Examiners administers the Texas Bar Exam as the Uniform Bar Examination. BLE lists the July 2026 Texas Bar Exam for Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Texas's published UBE schedule places the two MPT tasks in the Tuesday morning three-hour session, six MEE questions in the Tuesday afternoon three-hour session, MBE questions 1-100 in the Wednesday morning three-hour session, and MBE questions 101-200 in the Wednesday afternoon three-hour session. Texas requires a minimum UBE total score of 270 on the 400-point scale, with MPT weighted 20%, MEE 30%, and MBE 50%.

This page corrects the delivery details for the current Texas exam: Texas BLE's current laptop information identifies ILG Exam360 as the laptop software, not ExamSoft Examplify. For July 2026 applicants, BLE says Exam360 laptop software registration will not occur until June 2026. Applicants who properly apply for and register a laptop use the software for the MPT and MEE sessions. General instructions state that laptop users must bring an extension cord, may not bring a laptop bag or sleeve into the secure area, must leave the laptop at the assigned seat during the lunch break, and must launch Exam360 immediately after opening the laptop in the secure area.

Texas July applications open December 4, with the general timely filing deadline on February 1, the late filing and testing-accommodation deadline on April 1, and the final filing deadline on May 1. Applicants awaiting results from the most recent Texas exam may have a June 1 special filing deadline if they qualify. BLE also lists other licensing requirements within five years of passing, including present good moral character and fitness, an MPRE score of 85 or higher, the Texas Law Course, Rule 2(a)(5) requirements, and the oath.
